a project completed.

I've been looking for a magnetic bulletin board, but just haven't found one that fit my lofty expectations. So I decided to make one.

Materials:
  • pre-cut frame that was 50% off (craft store)
  • magnetic metal sheet for $13.99 (hardware store)
  • magnets husby gave me last Christmas
The hardware store cut the metal sheet to fit in my frame (22x28), and the craft store kindly stapled the metal into the frame, and reinforced the backing with some foam board. They also added a wire so I could hang it.

there's a first for everything.

Finally! My first shoot in Indy. It was a quick one for some friends, and unfortunately we missed most of the fall foliage. They have a great yard anyway, and their pup wanted in on the action too. Here's a taste.

back in the saddle.

I'm back in the saddle! Here's a post from the last session I did in Utah. This family is beautiful, in all of their color-coordinated glory! I love the sassiness from E-she has to put up with all those BIG BROTHERS. And let me tell you...she handles them like a champ!

d-troit.

In October we traveled to Detroit to cheer on my bro in-laws at the Detroit Marathon. Their course was incredible, traveling across several bridges, into Canada, through a tunnel, and on an island. They started the race in the dark, and let me tell you, it was cold up there! We did a fair amount of jogging ourselves, bringing sustenance to our runners and cheering them on.

No way I'd do a full marathon, but we're doing the Indy Mini in May!

gameday.

Guess what we're doing today...
My blogging sabbatical is over. Promise. I'll be back with images this week, as well as some shoots from the archives!
