even greener.

LOVE these reusable (and adorable!) snack bags from UldeYrth. If you've already got your green shopping bags, this is even greener!

*********Update**********

A friend from work purchased some reusable bags on Etsy from Green Street Bags. She dropped by my desk to show them off, and I hopped right on Etsy to buy some for myself! These bags come in many vibrant colors, and you can buy the sandwich size or the snack size. I opted for the "choose your own" set of 3, and specified the fabrics of my choice. The nylon lining makes these perfect for dried sundries, or even fruits & veggies. The velcro enclosure keeps your snacks from spilling.

farmer's market friday: handmade books.

Bookmaking pretty much tops the list of one of the crafts I'd like to learn (along with mosaic and crocheting). Besides having beautiful handmade books, this artist offers classes, so you can make your own handmade journal from materials ranging from cereal boxes to scrabble boards to fabric. Her patterns and prints are vibrant and unique. Stop by her stand, or better yet, take her class and make a book that is exactly to your liking.

caught.

While at the beach last week with my fam, I took some time to photograph cousins and family members I don't see nearly enough. It's not often that I'm actually in the picture. My sneaky aunt caught me during one of these moments. She's quite good herself!

impromptu.

It's not every day I'm at the beach, so last week I took advantage of the surroundings with a mini-session with my lovely cuz. The light was beautiful just before sunset. I love her cropped cut!

farmer's market friday: yellow momma creations.

I fell in love with Yellow Momma Creations at the farmer's market last week. Her yarn dollies are so sweet and soft. Her greatest advertiser (her daughter) was playing with her OWN yarn dolly, which had been loved and worn. It reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit. If you've got a little girl, niece, grand-daughter, or baby-shower, this is the perfect gift! You can customize the skin tone, hair, clothing, and even choose between curly or straight yarn hair.

j & a bridals/groomals.

This couple is lovely, and so very photogentic. The bride even arranged the bouquet herself. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in two weeks! I LOVED her yellow shoes. Click on the images to see a larger preview. You can also see their engagements here.

on holiday: the atlantic

A few short weeks ago I was on the Pacific pond. This week I'm going to the Atlantic for more palm trees and sand. Can you guess where I'm going?

I may post sporadically...or I may not. We'll have to see! I'll for sure come back with too many pictures to count.

Today it stopped raining *just* long enough to squeeze this photoshoot in. Here's a preview.

mommy & me: results

We had a great time at our mommy & me workshop last Saturday. The weather was mild, and it was actually sunny (unlike the last few days!). We had some nice shade, and a good turnout. Here's a few shots we caught at the end when we were practicing.

Happy birthday dad!

farmer's market friday: sol-flores

N's boutique is a must see at the farmer's market! Her displays are vibrant with color, and she sells these flower clips in all shapes and sizes. You can clip them to your shirt, a bag, a headband, or straight in your hair. She also makes beautiful jewelry.

Thoughts on the new header? I'm also considering orange and green. Any votes?

the best wedding reception. ever.

I'm FINALLY posting pictures from L & K's wedding reception. It was amazing-complete with a talent show, a beautiful cake, and some serious dancing. It was fascinating to be a part of this island culture wedding, with lei's galore, and hula dancing instead of the 'dollar dance.' This couple is truly loved!

tandem.

As part of said birthday celebration, husby rented a tandem bike, and we explored all of P-town. It took 3 hours. We found bugs, cows, horses, and boats.

snake creek grill.

For an early birthday celebration on Saturday, husby took me to Snake Creek Grill, a yummy restaurant in H-town that we've never been to, but comes highly recommended. The food was delicious, right down to the strawberry raspberry rhubarb pie a la mode, served straight from the oven.

Disclaimer: Actual pie not pictured...I didn't have the camera handy! This is as close as I could get. But it was SOOOOO much better.

We had a $25-off coupon to SCG from restaurant.com which was even sweeter! Browse for local restaurant deals in your neighborhood!
