something old.

I suppose the first statement of every blogger begs the question, "What is the purpose of my postings?" At the suggestion of a friend, I've started this blog to showcase some of my photography, as well as challenge myself to focus on new assignments and subject matter. While I've primarily been interested in portraiture for the last few years, I'm starting to delve into stock photos and fine art as well. I hope to create a bi-weekly post, and each post will embody a new theme. I don't like to write much, and let's face it, my words aren't that entertaining, so I'll mostly let my images speak for themselves. While critique isn't a word with an overly positive connotation, I'd like to invite readers to constructively criticize my images. I'd like to use your feedback to improve my technique & subject matter.

And so I begin, with something old. A little spring cleaning, if you will, as I say 'out with the old, in with the new.'

WOW! That's all I have to say. I probably won't be any good in critiquing your art since I'm so artistically challenged myself. :) Everything you do looks beautiful and amazingly talented.

Very nice! You've captured some beautiful moments and some great emotion in your pictures. I love the image of hands. Something about that brings up a feeling of calms, and quiet wisdom.

Thanks for Sharing!

Hey, Kaela!
Nice job, for as much as I know about blogs!! It seems it presents what you intended and here is my response!
I love your artistic ability and you do indeed have a talent for capturing memorable moments. I loved the high jump couple, baby with a tear, your Granda/my mom's hands, ant on a plant, etc. They are great, and much luck with wherever this may take you!
Love ya, A. Kathy

Kaela,
I loved finding a blog that allowed me to look at things through your artistic eye. so glad you're doing this! Along with the photos of Casen and your friend--I loved the insect/plant life pictures. Thanks for bringing to life things my eyes so often miss. It gave me a chance to appreciate another part of creation-
Keep it coming :)

I recognize several and they are still as good as when I first saw them. I still have my own copy of the orange bike and I vividly recall seeing it in person. Good thing I had sunglasses on!

You have always taken time to smell the roses and your creative work with the camera shows it. Keep following your heart and creative instincts. I am sure they will lead you to more good things.

Love all ways,
Dad
