I opened my Rocky Mountain Power bill this month, and there was an insert about their renewable energy program, called Blue Sky. I went to their website to learn more about it, and for only $3.90 extra on my bill, I signed up for 2 blocks of 100-kilowatt-hour wind energy that will be added to the grid instead of coal or nuclear power. Each block is only $1.95 (I signed up for 2), but for next to nothing, you can contribute to the cause for greener energy, and less dependence on nuclear and fossil fuels. Check out their faq page for more information on where the energy comes from, how the money is being used, and what projects they're currently working on.
If you live in Orem, you can recycle too! We just started. Thanks Nate and Krista!

I live in Spanish Fork (home of the first Utah wind farm) and I would like to reach out to anyone in that area. Spanish Fork is trying to start a recycling program and needs to have 2000 people to sign up. The fee is really minimal and we all know how recycling helps us all. Check it out here: http://www.spanishfork.org/recycle/
THanks!
Great news! We recycle at our house in Springville. Its roughly $5 bucks a month, but its been a good thing for us.
