Last night I asked my husband what he wanted for his birthday. His response?
"Barnaby's pizza."
You'll notice Barnaby's is located in South Bend, Indiana (the motherland) which is exactly 1,498.02 miles or 22 hours and 12 minutes from where we live according to Mapquest. As I'm mulling this over, he chimes in
"They deliver frozen pizzas all over the country."
What a concept. I think I'm actually going to call them.
While we're on the topic, it reminded me of one of my favorite restaurants, Portillo's, located in the Chicagoland area (the motherland). I know for a fact that they ship pre-packaged, ready-to-cook meals all over the country. I think we may have just found a new birthday tradition.
Here's what it looks like cooked. The picture doesn't do it justice.
