We spent Memorial day weekend with my family in San Diego. We flew in from the ends of the earth (SLC, Minneapolis, Chicago) to enjoy a weekend of sunshine and ocean breezes. The sand was pure gold, literally, and we stayed right on the beach.
In 3 days we:
- biked Mission Beach
- ate brunch at Del Coronado and walked the 'gold' beaches
- strolled Balboa Park in it's entirety
- Ate at Extraordinary Desserts
- went to the Padres/Cubs game
- walked the gas-lamp district at night
- had lamburgers, fish, and authentic mexican food
